Storage Barn Features

We try to keep a large number of buildings in inventory. You may want to check our building inventory before ordering for faster delivery!

• 4″x4″ pressure treated skids keep building off the ground.
• 5/8″ AdvanTech®- water resistant, stays flat and long lasting.

Each barn is built on pressure treated lumber skids. These runners allow for air circulation under the building.

It is recommended having the building placed on a gravel bed that’s flat and level. If we schedule your gravel base for you, it comes with our Hill View Mini Barns warranty. We carefully choose our subcontractors and make sure that their work is done to our standards.

The floor is of 5/8″ water resistant AdvanTech®! We believe AdvanTech® to be superior to plywood in many ways. It stays flat and its water resistant property is desirable when storing snow blowers, ATV’s and vehicles.

Siding:

• SmartSide ® siding with 16 color choices. SmartSide ® is a vertical grooved product with a cedar texture surface. It resists structural damage caused by termites and fungal decay. It won’t split, warp, check, delaminate, or buckle. It’s also free from knots, voids, and other imperfections typically found in plywood.
• Pine novelty siding is also available.

SmartSide ® is the siding used on the majority of the buildings at Hill View Mini Barns. It has properties superior to T1-11 that was commonly used on older storage buildings. SmartSide ® has the look of natural rough sawn cedar. It has a 100% clear face that is free of patches and repairs. The SmartSide ® product carries a 30 year limited warranty. Siding and trim are finished off with latex paint using the same color or an accent color- your choice! Sixteen paint colors are in stock. Feel free to contact us about other color possibilities.

Roof

• Your choice of metal roof or architectural shingles

The roof is finished with metal roofing or limited lifetime architectural shingles – same price, your choice! We use TechShield sheathing on the roof for our storage barns. TechShield is a foil faced wood sheathing that helps block up to 97% of radiant heat to keep your building cooler in the summer. Roofs can be vented for heat and moisture by installing optional ridge vent and/or soffit vents.

Some Available Options

After choosing from the many sizes and styles that are available at Hill View Mini Barns, you can add other options. It’s just like getting a custom storage building! Here’s a partial list.

• Ridge vent and/or soffit vents to eliminate excess building heat and moisture
• Small, medium and large windows give light and ventilation.
